I just went through the same thing with my Motorola and I had to exchange it for another phone. They could hear me but I could not hear them unless it was the speaker phone. I ended up with a Razor phone and have no issues now. Talk with the provider and see what they can do good luck
Not sure but
dial a number,
then press either
up up up on the center key, to see if that turns up the earpiece volume,
or
right right right on the center key, to see if that turns up the earpiece volume,
(the navigation key)
or if there is a volume control on the side of the phone then use the up key to turn it up.
do this during a call not when in standby mode.
as you need to be connected to a call to be able to turn it up.
hope this helps you.
you can try 3 things:
- just give it a reboot (turn it on off)
- use the volume dials on the right hand side of the screen
- check your profile (under the settings category in your menu) to make sure you haven’t actually switched from your normal profile
Failing all that – take it to your dealer, it is probably a phone failure
is there not two buttons on the side to turn the volume up or down?
i am having this same problem with my nokia flip phone at the moment.
ive tried turning the ear peice volume up and down as suggested by others on here, but it does not resolve the problem.
i have had my phone for a couple or so years now so i think mines just playing up with old age.
one thing you could try though is this, it sounds silly i know, but it works for my phone – just pucker up your lips and really blow as hard as you can into the little earpiece hole at the top of your phone.
it clears mine for a while and you no longer have to use the loud speaker fascility when on a call.
i can always tell when the problem has returned because there is no little bleep sound to confirm ive just sent a text message.
soo, just give a good hard blow or two into the ear piece and it just might help lol.
but as yours is a newish phone i think id be inclined to go back to the shop where you bought it from, afterall you dont want to be seen to be doing heavy breathing into your phone do you and you dont want everyone around you in ear shot hearing you ask whats for dinner tonight!! lol
good luck in getting it sorted. (let me know if the blowing works!)
with the sony ericsson K800i, there is the aerpiece speaker when you open up the front case. there are 2 pins that press to the actual mobile for the electricity to pass through.
as this has happened to mine, one of them snaped out, or if yours dont work you may of bent it by dropping it. This will stop the earspeaker from working. It can get repaired. I found a website where you can buy them which I will do. If you want to know the website, it is:

hope this is usefull. you also nees to buy the star a philips screw drivers. go into maplins and show them your phone, I got my screw drivers from there.
good luck!!!!
